The National Weather Service has issued a high wind warning for Oklahoma, in effect from 6 p.m. Wednesday until 3 a.m. Thursday.

Howling north winds are expected overnight with gusts over 50 miles per hour possible. A few snow flurries are also possible. On Thursday morning, wind chills are expected to dip into the single digits.

In addition, blowing dust from west Texas may reduce visibilities across southwest Oklahoma and western north Texas Wednesday afternoon and evening, according to the NWS.
