OKC Woman Wounded In Drive-By Shooting Identified

OKLAHOMA CITY -

Police are searching for someone who shot a woman as she was walking in northeast Oklahoma City early Thursday morning.

Sharon Russell, 57, was walking down Prospect near N.E. 29th Street around 2 a.m. Police say someone in a red SUV or truck drove up beside her, shot her, and then drove away.

Russell was rushed to OU Medical Center and is listed in good condition.

According to police records, Russell has a long criminal background and has served time in prison.

Police have not released a description of the shooter. They are asking anyone with information to call the Oklahoma City Police Department.
