Burke was arrested after a third pipe bomb was found Tuesday in a southwest Oklahoma City neighborhood.

According to investigators, it was the same type of bomb as the two others found at a nearby trucking company Monday night. Police say an employee there was Burke's apparent target.

City police shut down a neighborhood around S.W. 26th Street late Tuesday afternoon, after a pipe bomb was found in someone's yard.

"My wife got home, and she called me and said that police came and told everyone to leave and evacuate because there was a bomb out here in my neighbor's yard," Mark Watts said.

The bomb squad disabled the device.

Police say it was the same type of bomb as two others found Monday night at a trucking company not far away, on S.W. 29th.

"Investigators were able to very quickly determine the name of a suspect. Kevin Wayne Burke was identified as the suspect," OKC Police MSgt. Gary Knight said.

At this point, investigators say an employee at the trucking company was Burke's apparent target.

"After the first location was discovered, they were trying to find a suspect name, and they had a pretty good idea of who they were looking for when the second call came out involving another pipe bomb," MSgt. Knight said.

Police arrested Burke on the other side of the metro Tuesday night, and neighbors on the southwest side were able to go back home.

"I was just afraid, too, for the kids," Watts says, "there's a lot of kids who ride their bicycles around here, and they see things, pick things up, and you never know."

Burke is in the Oklahoma County Jail on charges including 3 counts of manufacturing an explosive device.

Police aren't releasing a motive at this point.

Burke is also charged with placing a device on a vehicle with intent of bodily injury or death.
