Fire Sweeps Through Midwest City Home

MIDWEST CITY, Oklahoma -

Midwest City firefighters battled their second fire in just two hours, this one at a home in the 200 block of Gill.

Someone called 911 around 1:30 p.m. when heavy smoke began pouring from the attic of a home southeast of E. Reno and Air Depot. Midwest City called in Del City firefighters to help battle the flames. They quickly put out the fire.

No one was inside the house, and no one was hurt. About in hour before, crews had to put out a fire at a nearby apartment complex at N.W. 10th Street and Air Depot.

It's not known how either fire started.
