OKLAHOMA CITY -

Police hauled a suspect to jail early Tuesday morning following a chase that damaged several buildings in northeast Oklahoma City.

It began in Del City near S.E. 15th Street just after midnight. Police tried to pull over a driver wanted on several felony warrants, but he refused to stop.

The suspect sped into Oklahoma City, reaching a speed of about 80 mph. Police tried to use stop sticks to end the chase, but the suspect drove around them.

After about 20 minutes, the suspect lost control in northeast Oklahoma City. He hit an air conditioning unit but kept driving. He then hit several other structures before finally crashing into a building at N.E. 48th Street and Santa Fe.

Police arrested the suspect and booked him into the Oklahoma County jail. His name has not yet been released.
