STRINGTOWN, Oklahoma -

A convicted murderer who escaped from prison may be heading towards Oklahoma City.

Jason Bales was last seen Monday at the Mack Alford Correctional Facility down in Stringtown. Now, the Department of Corrections says Bales may be headed to Oklahoma City.

Bales was serving life without parole for killing his girlfriend's mother, Stepheny Glass, and burying her in a shallow grave in southwest Oklahoma City back in 2006.
