Bethany Police have arrested a man accused of collecting thousands of dollars from an elderly couple, but never finishing the construction work on their handicap bathroom.

Police took Shane Thomas into custody on Tuesday on seven complaints of embezzlement. Police say Nick Pittman hired Thomas' company and even paid up front for some of the costs. Four months after signing the contract, Thomas still hasn't finished the job.

Bethany Police have identified other homeowners and subcontractors in similar situations with Thomas' company.
