Authorities are using robots to search a McClain County mobile home Thursday afternoon for more possible suspects in a standoff.

The standoff began around 11:30 a.m. when a stolen car was located at County Line Road 353rd Street near Blanchard. Witnesses told police there were two or three people inside the mobile home, and one of them had just been released from prison.

The suspects barricaded themselves inside, and McClain County deputies and Oklahoma Highway Patrol troopers spent several hours trying to convince them to come out.

Eventually, a SWAT team drove up to the mobile home in an armored vehicle. Bob Mills SkyNews 9 was overhead as one man came out, kneeled on the ground and put his hands in the air. He was taken into custody.

Police have identified the man as Derick Tallent.

Tallent told authorities he was the only person in the mobile home. Tactical teams punched a hole in the side of the structure and sent in robots to search the home to make sure it's empty.

A spokesperson for Newcastle Public School says there is one route, one that runs near the standoff area, which will not run today. The students that usually take this route home will go to the middle school gym to be picked up by parents.
