Popcorn-Carrying Semi Overturns On Westbound I-40

Crews spent several hours clearing away a tractor-trailer that overturned Monday morning on westbound Interstate 40 near Council Road.

The accident happened just before 5:30 a.m. Morning traffic backed up along the interstate, even after crews managed to move the semi to the shoulder of the road.

Crews also had to turn the semi upright, but first had to unload the popcorn the truck was carrying.

It's not known what caused the semi to overturn. No one was hurt.
