OKLAHOMA CITY -
A metro mother and
her two kids find themselves kicked out on the street the day before
Thanksgiving.
While people
across the nation enjoy food, family and fun, one metro mom said she is
thankful she is alive, but worried about how she will go on after being kicked
out a shelter for battered women she calls home.
The woman claims
the director of a Catholic charities home told her since her son was released
from a group home she'd have to go.
"It is very
painful to know that you don't know if you are going to be in your car tonight
or where you are going to be or if your kids and you are going to be safe,"
said the woman, who wished to remain anonymous.
A spokesperson for
Catholic charities tells News 9: "We have a responsibility to protect the
confidentiality of people in the home, but she was given other options at the
time she left."
