OKLAHOMA CITY -

An Oklahoma City Police officer was involved in an accident with another vehicle on the north side of the metro, Thursday night.

It happened at near Western and Hefner shortly after 8 p.m.

EMSA and firefighters were dispatched to the scene, but no one involved in the accident appeared to have been seriously injured. The female driver of the other car was transported to a local hospital with minor injuries.

According to police, the officer was driving northbound on Western, responding to a low priority call. The woman was southbound on Western when she made a left in front of the officer and struck him. OCPD isn't placing blame at this time.

Northbound Western was closed briefly while the wreckage is cleared and investigators worked to determine the cause.
