Jeep Slams Into Ambulance Heading To OKC Hospital

According to EMSA spokesperson, the ambulance stationed out of Midwest City had four people on board when it rolled.

An injury accident involving an ambulance sends four people to the hospital.

The crash happened just after noon on Thursday at 4300 West Memorial Road in Oklahoma City. According to police, an ambulance transporting a patient to Mercy was southbound on Meridian going through the intersection at Memorial. Police said the driver of a Jeep going eastbound on Memorial had a green light and went through the intersection, striking the ambulance on the passenger side.

According to an EMSA spokesperson, the ambulance is stationed out of Midwest City and had four people on board when it rolled. Two paramedics and the patient were transported in good condition. Another patient refused treatment at the scene. No word on any injuries in the Jeep.

According to police, the ambulance had its lights and sirens on. The accident is still under investigation.
