It was Aggie vs. Aggie Tuesday night as the Oklahoma Panhandle State men's and women's basketball teams traveled to Lawton to take on the Cameron University Aggies. Cameron came out on top with the women finishing at 66-50, and the men at 94-75.

The women tipped off at 6 p.m. and while Cameron took an early lead, OPSU kept it close and made the home team work for every point. Even though the OPSU Aggies scored 10 points off turnovers, the CSU Aggies went into the break ahead 30-23. Cameron remained in the lead throughout the second half as OPSU continued to struggle with their shooting and CSU got their first win of the young season, 66-50.

Whitley Coca was again the leading scorer for both teams with 16, even though OPSU shot a disappointing 22 percent from the field as a team. Kaylee Marion brought down five rebounds and Sarah Johnson was a perfect 4-4 at the free throw line. With the win, Cameron's season record stands at 1-4 and OPSU is now at 2-4.

When the men took the court, OPSU handed Cameron eight points in the early minutes of the game at the free throw line. At the 8 minute mark, OPSU trailed by nine, but a CSU 23-8 scoring run put the OPSU Aggies behind 51-29 at the break. Even though OPSU scored 46 points in the second half, they could not hold down Cameron and the game ended with a 94-75 CSU win. OPSU's season record dropped to 2-3 while Cameron's improved to 2-0. OPSU shot 57 percent overall and also shot 61 percent from outside. Bill Lee led the OPSU scoring with 13, going 6-7 in the 2-point range. T. J. Farrell followed closely with 12. CSU had five men with double digits and Craig Foster earned a double double with 12 points and ten assists.

Both teams are back in Goodwell and will play home games over the Thanksgiving break. Western State Colorado University comes to town Saturday for a 7 p.m. game, and the women match up with Midwestern on Sunday at 4 p.m.
