Police: Jeep Believed Involved In Broken Arrow Cemetery Theft

BROKEN ARROW, Oklahoma -

Broken Arrow Police have released security video of an SUV they believe is connected to the theft of remains from an above-ground tomb at Floral Haven Cemetery.

Police say the video shows a white 2-door Jeep Wrangler with a black hard top leaving the cemetery in the early morning hours of November 10th, 2012.

Police say cemetery workers discovered the damaged tomb on Monday morning, November 12. Officers determined someone had removed skeletal remains from inside the tomb.

Broken Arrow Police say the family has requested they not release the name of the person buried in the tomb.

Floral Haven Cemetery list located on South 129th East Avenue.

Police are asking anyone with information about the Jeep or the theft to call Crime Stoppers at 918-596-COPS.
