OKC Man, 18, Accused Of Having Sex With 12-Year-Old Girl

Oklahoma City Police arrested a man on a complaint of first-degree rape after a 12-year-old girl said the man had sex with her.

On November 19, an 8-year-old friend of the victim told her grandmother the girl had recently had sex for the first time. The grandmother contacted the victim's mother, who then called the police.

Police interviewed the 12 year old. She said she met 18-year-old Shannon Quinn when she spent the night at a friend's house. The victim said she watched a movie with Quinn, another female and her boyfriend. The girl said she drank two beers, and then Quinn convinced her to have sex.

The girl told the officer Quinn didn't know she was 12 years old. She said when she told him the next day, he stopped talking to her.

Police arrested Quinn and booked him into the Oklahoma County jail on one count of first-degree rape.
