OKLAHOMA CITY -

While most of us haven't yet begun our trek to grandma's house for Thanksgiving, a lot of work is already being done in the kitchen.

Earls Rib Palace says they're smoking 2,000 turkeys for Turkey Day. Manager Brad Boone says there's also high demand for Earl's regular staples as well.

Over at Spencer's Smokehouse and Barbecue in Midwest City, Steve Spencer says they'll begin preparing dozens of thanksgiving feasts at 4 Tuesday morning.

"We look forward to it every year," he said.

At Crest Foods in Edmond, Operations Manager Eric Lollar said they're also selling prepared thanksgiving meals. However, the biggest seller right now appears to be their ready-made pies.
