TULSA, Oklahoma -

Tulsa Police are looking for a person who fired shots at River Spirit Casino on Riverside Drive Sunday evening.

Police say they got calls about the incident at about 8 p.m. Sunday. Police say they initially were told shots were fired at the casino after two women got into an argument at the blackjack tables.

Witnesses told police the women left the building and ran toward the Arkansas River. Police helicopters were put into the air immediately to search for the shooters, and officers on the ground began combing the multi-level parking garage.

Casino officials placed the building on lockdown, and no one was allowed in or out for more than an hour and a half.

However, according to River Spirit Marketing Director Bob Dimmick, the shots originated from outside of the building. A door at the entrance was pierced by a bullet.

Lindsey Shelton, of Kellyville, said she was inside the building but never heard gunfire. She texted with News On 6 while on lockdown.

"People started running and then security started having us get down on the floor," Shelton wrote. "We eventually ended up in emergency exit stairwell. They let us out, but we have to stay on west side of casino and cannot leave."

Deborah Berryman was playing on a machine near the front doors when the shooting happened.

"We heard these loud pops - it almost sounded like fireworks - going off and people started screaming and running away from the front door as the security came forward to the front door," she said.

About 9:20 p.m., officials lifted the lockdown, evacuated the building and people began leaving in their vehicles.

Authorities were still searching for the shooter or shooters overnight.

The Federal Bureau of Investigation is also on scene assisting with the gathering of information.
