After a tough loss against UCLA Wednesday night, the Oklahoma women's basketball team was looking for vengeance. Unfortunately for Saint Louis, they happened to be the lucky ones to experience the Sooners' wrath.

The Sooners put on a defensive clinic, holding the Billikens to 27.6 percent shooting and a tied a program record by allowing just 10 first half points in a 68-33 romp.

Oklahoma shot 62.5 percent in the first half and raced to a 19-0 lead before Saint Louis was able to score. The Billikens scored with 11 minutes remaining in the first half, but didn't score again until there were less than three minutes remaining. The Sooners stormed into halftime with a 40-10 lead.

The Sooners cooled off in the second half, shooting 37.9 percent, but the end result was never in doubt.

10 Sooners saw the court, with each of them playing at least 13 minutes.

Nicole Griffin went 7-for-10 from the field to lead the Sooners with 15 points. Aaryn Ellenberg had 13 points, while Whitney Hand had 11.

Jacy Bradley was the only Saint Louis player in double figures with 11.

The Sooners travel to Hawaii to participate in the Rainbow Wahine Showdown this week. They will face Arkansas Friday at 6 p.m. CT.
