Police responded to a robbery at Ulta Beauty, located near Interstate 40 and McArthur in Southwest Oklahoma City.

Witnesses say two women robbed the store then ran out the front door and hopped into a taxi that was outside waiting for other passengers.

Police say the women repeatedly hit the taxi driver in the head until he jumped out. He told police he saw one of the women reach for her purse and thought she may have had a weapon. One of the suspects then jumped into the front seat and took off in the taxi, ditching it later on.

An Ulta employee who saw this all happen Friday night said the incident was all caught on surveillance cameras. A manager at Ulta would not comment on the robbery and would not confirm what was captured on the security cameras.

Police did not have much of a suspect description other than two women about 5'5" to 5'7" ad one of them was wearing a hat. Officers hope witnesses or cameras caught something.

An Oklahoma City Police Spokesperson said the driver of the taxi appeared to be okay and was not transported to the hospital. He also said one of the women may have been armed with a knife.
