OKLAHOMA CITY -
With the fate of Hostess Twinkies apparently sealed, Oklahomans
spent Friday buying out Twinkie supplies in area stores.
The Target on May and Northwest Expressway and the Homeland
grocery store on north May were both completely out of regular Twinkies
Friday. However, both stores had chocolate Twinkies on their
shelves.

CVS Pharmacy was totally of Twinkies, and News 9's Steve Shaw bought
the last two-pack of Twinkies on Walgreen's shelves.
Over at Shorty Smalls, next to I-40, one of their most popular
menu items is Fried Twinkies. Assistant General Manager Harrison Edwards
says Friday morning one of his employees bought the last five boxes of Twinkies
from a Wal-Mart close by. So lovers of friend Twinkies are safe, for now.
"It's one of our best-sellers, what we call it is a Dunkin Donut
on steroids," he said.
