Recount Awards House Seat 45 To Incumbent Stiles

OKLAHOMA CITY -

More than a week after the election, the results are finally tallied in a close race for a seat in the state House of Representatives.

The original count for House District 45 showed Republican incumbent Aaron Stiles beating Democrat Paula Roberts by just 18 votes.

Workers started hand-counting 13,000 votes Friday morning, and finished around 9:30 p.m.

The final tally showed Stiles won by 17 votes.
