Police Identify Man Shot, Killed Outside SW OKC Nightclub

Police have identified a man who was shot and killed outside a nightclub in southwest Oklahoma City early Sunday morning.

According to police, the victim, 23-year-old Jose Plancarte, was shot following a fight outside the "Copa Cabana Club" near S.W. 29th Street and Portland. He was transported to the OU Medical Center, where he later died.

Officers initially said the victim had been stabbed.

Police say Plancarte had trauma to his body consistent with homicide. The Medical Examiner will determine the exact cause of death.
