Oklahoma Has Funding To Help Needy Pay Heating Bills

The Oklahoma Department of Human Services says it has received federal funding to help low-income residents pay heating bills this winter.

The Oklahoma Department of Human Services says it has received federal funding to help low-income residents pay heating bills this winter.

Applications for the Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program will be taken starting Dec. 11. All applicants must provide identification, income verification and their most recent heating bill.

Applications are made at local DHS offices.

The maximum income for eligibility to receive assistance ranges from $1,024 per month for a one-person household to $3,565 for a family of eight.
