A woman is accused of stealing more than $800 worth of merchandise from an Oklahoma City Sears store with the help of a store employee. Police have taken both of them into custody.

Police responded to the incident Tuesday at the Sears store, located at 4400 S. Western Avenue in Oklahoma City.

A Sears Loss Prevention worker reported to police that the suspect, 26-year-old Heather Baysinger, stole $856.94 worth of merchandise with the help of store employee, 42-year-old Terri Templeton. Templeton had been working at the register that Baysinger checked out at.

According to police, the Loss Prevention worker said Baysinger selected a large amount of merchandise, mainly clothing items. But when she went to the register, Templeton took the items and pretended to ring them up manually. Police say this action was caught on surveillance cameras at the store.

Baysinger reportedly added a donation of $1 to the Bring the Troops Home Fund. She paid a total of $5.45, but walked out of the store with all the items that had not been rung up, according to police.

The store's Loss Prevention Department took both Baysinger and Templeton into custody. They were then transported to the Oklahoma County Jail on embezzlement charges.
