Police Identify Woman Killed On Northwest OKC Street

Oklahoma City Police have released the name of a woman who was struck and killed by a car Halloween night.

Police say 44-year-old Martha Vasquez hit a dog while driving with her 20-year-old son near N.W. 164th Street and May around 7:30 p.m. Wednesday. She pulled over, parked, and got out of the car to check the dog.

Police say another driver didn't see Vasquez, and hit her as she stood in the street. Vasquez died from her injuries at the scene.

The 31-year-old driver stayed at the scene and spoke to police. He will not be charged.
