It's Sunday, so that means it's time for the new college football rankings.
Let's start with the BCS rankings, where OU moved up one spot to No. 8 following its impressive win over Kansas. The Sooners earned a .7126 BCS percentage, which is a significant lead over No. 9 USC.
Notre Dame, which comes to Norman this Saturday, came in at No. 5 with a .8512. If OU manages to take down the Irish, it could mean a huge boost in the BCS standings next week.
Now let's look at this week's AP poll. OU climbed two spots to No. 8, sandwiched between Oregon State (seven) and Ohio State (nine).
Oklahoma State (4-2) earned 12 votes in the poll following its big win over Iowa State, and Tulsa (7-1) received six votes.
Finally, in the USA Today coaches poll, OU came in at No. 7, while OSU received 37 votes and Tulsa got 21.
In addition to OU's showdown with Notre Dame Saturday, OSU hosts TCU and Tulsa has a bye week.
