Oklahoma State coach Mike Gundy confirmed during his weekly teleconference on Sunday that quarterback J.W. Walsh will miss the remainder of the season with a knee injury.
Early in Saturday's victory against Iowa State on Saturday, Walsh came up noticeably limping. Walsh went over to coach Mike Gundy and told him he felt he was, "100 percent."
Walsh was able to play the remainder of the Cowboys' 31-10 victory against the Cyclones, throwing for a career-high 415 yards. It was the ninth-best passing performance in OSU history. He also rushed for 46 yards and had a touchdown through the air and on the ground.
Wes Lunt has been moved to No.1 on the depth chart and Clint Chelf is the new backup, according to the Oklahoma State athletic department.
Lunt injured his knee on the team's first offensive series against Louisiana on Sept. 15 and has been recovering.
