TULSA, Oklahoma -

ORU's Mabee Center has been open for 40 years, and Saturday, a special plaque went up to mark the milestone.

While originally built to give ORU's basketball team a bigger place to play, the Mabee Center has played host to superstars including Elvis, Frank Sinatra, Sony and Cher—even Justin Bieber has played there.

"The Mabee Center is really more like a performing arts center than it is an arena and, the acoustics are basically second to none," said General Manager Tony Winters.

It's not just about the acoustics, though. The Mabee Center has also hosted Olympic gymnastics trials and the NCAA's Elite Eight Tournament.
