Bradley Meade
OKLAHOMA CITY -
One
of the Oklahoma County Sheriff's Office's most wanted fugitives is now in
custody.
A
warrant team arrested 47-year-old Bradley Meade on Wednesday.
Meade
was wanted for an incident that took place during a traffic stop near SW 44th
and Agnew in Oklahoma City on July 1, 2012.
During
that traffic stop, Meade eluded a sheriff's deputy on foot, but a search of his
vehicle turned up a gun with the serial number filed off and drug
paraphernalia.
"This
is great work by our warrant team," said Oklahoma County Sheriff John Whetsel. "Their
dogged approach has brought this suspect into custody and brought one of our
cases a step closer to being solved."
Meade
was booked at the Oklahoma County Detention Center, facing charges of
possession of a firearm after a former felony conviction, possession of drug
paraphernalia, removing a factory serial number from a firearm and obstructing
an officer. His bond was set at $14,500.
