ODOT Awarded Money To Study High-Speed Rail Between OK, Texas

The two departments of transportation have been awarded money from the Federal Railroad Administration to study the railway. It would run between Tulsa and San Antonio.

We're getting closer to getting a high speed rail right through Oklahoma City. The idea is part of a partnership between the Oklahoma and Texas.

The two departments of transportation have been awarded money from the Federal Railroad Administration to study the railway. It would run between Tulsa and San Antonio.

ODOT has $350,000 dedicated to the study. Also, for the Oklahoma City to Tulsa rail line, ODOT has $3.5 million to come up with a development and environmental plan.

Oklahoma and Texas already work together to operate the Heartland Flyer.
