GRADY COUNTY, Oklahoma -

One person was killed following a crash involving a school bus and a pickup truck just east of Chickasha Monday afternoon.

Emergency crews responded to the collision just before 4 p.m. in the area of U.S. Highway 62 and State Highway 39. According to the Grady County Emergency Manager, a pickup truck crashed into the back of a school bus.

Officials confirmed the driver of the pickup truck has been killed. The pickup driver's identity has not been released at this time.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol confirmed that no one on the school bus was injured.

U.S. 62 at State Highway 39 was shut down for more than two hours as crews investigate the crash.

Grady County firefighters were the first on the scene to respond to the crash. The Chickasha EMS and OHP Troopers responded to the collision as well.
