Mark Brim admits the loaded gun found by a teacher on Monday at Plaza Towers Elementary school was his. He claims he left it there by accident over the weekend when he was there helping his wife, who is a teacher.

Brim told police the gun fell out of his pocket and he didn't know it until Monday when the school went on lockdown.

Now Switzer says Brim shouldn't be charged with a felony. On MooreMonthly.com, Switzer was seen with Brim during a court hearing.

"It was self-reported by him," Switzer said. "He went to police when he heard the publicity and went down, self-reported it and said it was mine, it was my gun. I hope they just give him a misdemeanor charge. That's what it should be."

Brim and his attorney will discuss the charge with the District Attorney's office on October 23.
