Keith Wiley
EDMOND, Oklahoma -
A man is in hot water after allegedly tossing a urine-soaked
sock into the face of an Edmond jailer during an arrest for driving under the
influence in early September.
According to the police report, on Sept. 3 just after 2 a.m.
police pulled over 22-year-old Keith Wiley after he was observed driving
erratically in a dark Ford Explorer on south Broadway Ext. in Edmond.
The responding officer asked Wiley where he was coming from
and he replied ‘Home'. When asked where he was headed, Wiley again replied ‘Home'.
When asked how he could both be coming from and heading home Wiley told the
police officer ‘I'm drunk'.
The smell of alcohol was strong on Wiley and his speech was
slurred, according to the report. When the officer asked Wiley to get out of
the vehicle he noticed that he was unsteady on his feet and had appeared to
have urinated on himself. Wiley was then placed under arrest and taken to the
jail in Edmond.
Once at the jail, Wiley allegedly became combative and threw
the soiled sock into the face of the jailer. He was then placed in a jail cell
without completing the booking process.
Wiley is charged with the crimes of driving under the
influence and placing body fluids upon a government employee. Both are
felonies.
