EDMOND, Oklahoma -

Edmond police are warning about overdoses with synthetic drugs after two people were sent to the hospital in the past two weeks.

The first victim, police say, is an 18-year-old man who was caught while trying to get inside an apartment. Police said the man was acting irrationally, and officers had to use a taser to get him under control.

The second victim, a 20-year-old man, was rushed to hospital in critical condition after his friends called 911. Police say he had taken a synthetic drug and was overdosing. He remains in ICU on Monday recovering.

Police say there is an increase of usage in synthetic drugs known as Molly, K2, Spice, Smiles, and Potpourri.
