Woman Shot, Killed After Interrupting Car Burglary In Progress In NW OKC

OKLAHOMA CITY -

A woman who was shot during an attempted car burglary in northwest Oklahoma City has died at the hospital, according to Oklahoma City police.

Officers responded to the shooting just before 9 p.m. at 1624 N.W. 15th Street in Oklahoma City. When they arrived at the scene, they found one woman lying in a drive way. 

The woman was transported to the hospital, where she later died. Her identity is unknown at this time.

According to officers on the scene, the woman and her boyfriend interrupted two men who were trying to break into her car. One of the suspects pulled out a gun and shot her.

The suspects then ran away from the scene, police said.

Police have not released any information on the suspects at this point.
