A mayor traveled a very long way to honor two Oklahomans who served in World War II.
The mayor of a small village in France brought his family to the Oklahoma City National Memorial Sunday evening. He is here to honor two men who helped liberate the French village after it was occupied by Nazi Germans, Reuben Rivers, a staff sergeant from Tecumseh who died in battle, and Hall Duncan, a veteran who lives in Edmond.
The mayor and his family will be staying in Oklahoma this week, and will be part of a special presentation at University of Central Oklahoma on Wednesday.
