OKLAHOMA CITY -
Oklahoma
City Thunder point guard Russell Westbrook added some star power to a local
non-profit, Saturday night.
Westbrook
was at a fundraiser for the Needs Foundation, which gives un-served food from
local restaurants to hungry families in the metro.
News 9 caught
up with Westbrook to ask about his involvement.
"This is a
huge part of what I'm interested in, you know me personally. And just trying to
keep it going with us playing basketball, I think it's really important for us
to give back," said Westbrook.
Saturday
night's private event was at the former Governors Mansion on North McKinley. There
was a live auction that included a Thunder jersey signed by Westbrook.
