Police Arrest Two Suspects In OKC Tanning Salon Robberies

OKLAHOMA CITY -

Police arrested a man and a woman Thursday afternoon who are accused of robbing three tanning salons in Oklahoma City.

According to police, 22-year-old Jarode Virger and 22-year-old Rebecca Cute were arrested during a traffic stop near a McDonald's restaurant, located near N.W. 23rd and Broadway Extension. Police say they received a tip on the suspects and made the traffic stop to arrest them.

Police say Virger and Cute are responsible for three tanning salon robberies since last Thursday. Caesars Tan on North May was robbed last Thursday night. And two "At The Beach" locations were robbed Friday and Sunday nights.

Virger, police say, was arrested in August for shoplifting, and Cute was arrested by U.S. Marshals last year on a warrant. She was also arrested for shoplifting in 2008 and 2010.

According to police, Virger works for the Oklahoman, but is listed as a transient. Cute is unemployed.
