Oklahoma State's men's basketball team will host a Special Olympics basketball clinic on Wednesday, Oct. 10 at Gallagher-Iba Arena. The two-hour clinic will feature Cowboy players and coaches working with the Olympians.
Head coach Travis Ford says this clinic means a lot to everyone involved.
"The Special Olympics holds a very special place in our hearts," Ford said. "It brings a lot of joy to see the smiles on the kids' faces when they're interacting with our players. It's also important for our players to be involved with the community and help out in any way possible."
This will be the third consecutive year that OSU has hosted a Special Olympics basketball clinic. The Stillwater campus has been the site for the Special Olympics Summer Games for almost 30 years and will host again next May.
