Police Give 'All Clear' At SW OKC Park

Police have given the 'all clear' for the area around a park in southwest Oklahoma City after it was determined a suspicious package found in the park was not dangerous.

The Oklahoma City Police Bomb Squad responded to the call of a suspicious package Merrel Medley Park located at 11100 S. Pennsylvania Ave. in the southwest part of the metro, Thursday afternoon.

Children that walk home from Red Oak Elementary were briefly held at school while bomb squad members worked to identify the package.
