OKLAHOMA CITY -
A teen who held up
pharmacist Jerome Ersland is back in jail Wednesday night, less than two months
after getting out.
Jevontai Ingram, 18, was
out on probation for murder until his own mother called police. The arrest
comes about a week after Ersland sent News 9 a letter from prison asking that
justice be served in his case.
Ingram is at the Oklahoma
County Jail Wednesday night after violating his probation by allegedly
vandalizing his mother's car. She filed a police report, but says the wrong
person is behind bars.

Two weeks ago Ingram said
he wanted to be a probation officer. Last week his mom called police saying her
son vandalized her car.
"It was a mistake. There
was three kids involved. I don't know which one did it. So, that's it," said
Ingram's mom Natasha Ingram.
Ersland says when it comes
to the pharmacy robbery he knows who is accountable. In a handwritten letter to
News 9's Kelly Ogle, Ersland said, "I am
imprisoned for life while the person who did initiate the crime is free. Attorney
Doug Freesen (sic) isn't surprised Ingram is accused of re-offending."

"If Jerome was let out of
the penitentiary, you would not see him getting in trouble," said Friesen.
Meanwhile, the petition to
free Ersland reached 30,000 signatures on Wednesday. Ersland himself is also
looking for a release and ends his letter with:
"I am still hopeful justice will prevail in my case. Sincerely, Jerome

Friesen points out, even
if Ingram isn't convicted of vandalism charges, he could be sent to jail on his
original plea.
