OKLAHOMA CITY -

The Thunder announced on Tuesday that the team will be holding auditions for the Rain Drops on Oct. 6 at the Thunder Events Center.

Presented by Trochta's, the Rain Drops – the team's junior dance squad – have become a fan favorite at home games, with young fans ages 7 to 12 showing off their talents with a variety of dance routines.

"The Rain Drops squad gives some very talented kids the opportunity to gain performance experience, while adding to the fun and excitement of Thunder home games," director of Events and Entertainment for the Thunder John Leach said in a press release.

Kids interested in trying out for the squad must demonstrate a high energy level and excellent dance skills. The Rain Drops practice weekly and perform once a month during the season.

Auditions will take place at the Thunder Events Center, 14701 N. Lincoln Blvd. in Edmond. Registration is free and will begin at 9 a.m. Registrants are encouraged to bring a completed application form, which is available on the Thunder website.
