OKLAHOMA CITY -
Police are
on the hunt for six people involved in a deadly shooting at a southwest
Oklahoma City home early Sunday morning.
It happened
just before 6 a.m. in an area known for violence.
News 9 spoke
with the victim's family Sunday night and they say they are devastated over his
death and don't know why something like would happen inside his house.
Neighbors
say they heard the commotion after the shots rang out at a home near SW 32nd
and McKinley in a residential neighborhood.
Oklahoma
City Police responded to the house around 5:45 a.m. after reports of a
shooting. They say the victim was transported to a hospital where he later
died. The victim's cousin tells News 9 a group of people were at the house when
an argument broke out and someone pulled a gun.
She said
the suspect pointed the gun at her brother and that is when the victim tried
wrestling it out of the shooter's hands. He ended up getting shot.
Police say they
are looking for a total of six people who took off after the shooting. They say
three men and three women left the scene in a white 4-door car.
The
victim's family says he lives with his cousin at the house where the shooting
happened. Neighbors say violence happens in the area often and weren't
surprised by the shooting.
