The Oklahoma State Fair opened Thursday and already, there are reports of cars getting broken into.

While people enjoy the fair, outside law enforcement stays alert making sure your stuff stays safe in the parking lots. Police at the fair say there have been four break-ins reported in the first three days.

That relatively low number is a testament to the hard working officers patrolling the state fair. They have uniformed officers and plain clothed officers monitoring the parking lots constantly to prevent burglaries. They say it only takes a few seconds in some cases for a criminal to steal your valuables, and if you're coming to the fair, take some extra precautions.

Martin says it's unfortunate that these crimes happen, and what doesn't get tracked is the number of crimes officers prevent every day out here at the fair.
