Another Oklahoma family is seeking justice in the unsolved murder of their 67-year-old mother. The OSBI is still offering a $10,000 reward in that case, along with the cold cases of two other Oklahoma women.

The family of Marie Dighton is hoping that someone out there has information about her murder. And more importantly, who did it.

It has been more than four years since 67-year-old Marie Dighton was found brutally murdered inside her home in Buffalo Valley in rural Latimer County. Her throat had been cut, leaving her nearly decapitated.

The Sheriff's Department found her body after her daughter called them to do a welfare check since she wouldn't answer the phone.

The family still doesn't understand who would want to kill this frail 67-year-old, or why.

"She was 67 years old on oxygen, she couldn't have fought off anybody, so there was no logical sense," said Maria Wilson, Dighton's daughter.

Wilson said nothing was taken from the home, but it does appear the safe had been tampered with.

"This person is still hurting people, you don't do what this person did to my mother and not do it again," Wilson said.

Though the case has grown cold, the family is hoping time and the OSBI's $10,000 reward will trigger new leads.

"I just can't believe that somebody doesn't know something or this person hasn't said something to somebody, and if it takes posting a reward to get someone to fink on somebody if that's what it takes, then so be it," Wilson said.

"Rewards for us are a tool in the toolbox of law enforcement, in the past 10 years, I think we have paid out on one," said Jessica Brown, OSBI spokesperson.

If you have any information about this cold case, or any others, you are urged to call the OSBI hotline at 1-800-522-8017.

The OSBI is offering a $10,000 reward in the murder of Carol Daniels, the pastor found dead in her Anadarko church three years ago.

They are also offering the same reward for information on the murder of Carol Mowrer, who was killed in her home near Tishomingo last October.
