Oklahoma City police have released a surveillance photo of a man suspected of using a stolen check to go on a shopping spree at a metro store.

Someone stole a 46-year-old man's truck, and the victim's checkbook was inside the vehicle. Someone later used the victim's stolen checks to try to purchase goods at southwest Oklahoma City stores such as Kohl's, Wal-Mart, Target, and Spencer Gifts.

The victim quickly closed his account, so some of the checks were declined.

Police obtained surveillance video of the forgery suspect leaving a store. They've released a picture of the man, hoping someone will recognize him. He's a white male, wearing a light-colored shirt, light-colored baseball cap, and dark shorts.

Anyone with information about the case is urged to call Crime Stoppers at (405) 235-7300.

Callers can remain anonymous and may be eligible for a cash reward.
