Arrest Made In Killing Of Norman Woman

NORMAN, Oklahoma -

Norman police announced Friday morning they'd arrested a man for the murder of Mary Ellen Benavidez.

Police say 20-year-old Dustin Dale Allen shot 57-year-old Benavidez early Thursday morning in her home near Flood and Robinson. She was found in her kitchen and rushed to a hospital, but died from a gunshot wound to the chest.

Police have not revealed a motive for the shooting.

Police arrested Allen Thursday night and booked him into the Cleveland County Detention Center on one count of first-degree murder.

Allen is being held without bond.
