An Oklahoma City landmark has a new owner.

David Box submitted the only bid at a public foreclosure auction on Thursday for the Gold Dome.

The Prohibition Room was a Gold Dome staple until Richard and Donn petitioned the court to let them out of the lease a little over a year ago. The couple says they had continued problems with Lam as a landlord. The City of Oklahoma City also says Gold Dome owner Irene Lam owes them a million dollars.

The couple started an online fundraising site last month looking for investors so they can buy the troubled Oklahoma City landmark. However, they fell short.

Box bought the Gold Dome for $800,000. Box has previously bought and developed properties on Campus Corner in Norman and in Bricktown.

He hasn't revealed his plans for the Gold Dome yet, but says he does not intend to tear it down.
