Man Arrested For Stealing Copper Wire From Metro Elementary School

Police arrested a man accused of stealing copper wire and electronics from a metro elementary school.

According to court documents, Alan Strickland confessed to being one of two men caught on tape stealing inside Hayes Middle School on August 20. Police say 4,000 feet of copper wire and electronics were ripped off.

Strickland was then arrested on one count of second degree burglary.

Strickland and another man were caught on the surveillance cameras at the school. Police say this case is still under investigation.
