A man who allegedly ran three people over on purpose in front of a liquor store is now charged in the case.

Court records show that 60-year-old Mervin Carter Junior was in front of Mr. P's Liquor store on Northeast 23rd Street back on August 25.

That's when witnesses and victims reported that Carter intentionally hit three people with his truck and left the scene.

Carter is charged with three counts of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, one count of leaving the scene of an accident, and one count of driving while under the influence.
